Day 24...Tuesday and All is Well!!

Hi Family and Friends,
We had a good day today. PT was tough but fun as we rotated station to station in a giant circle for circuit training. One station would be sit ups, one would be flutter kicks, one would be incline push-ups and so on...We worked up a good sweat...

Don't give up John! You can make it!

Preparing for more PT.
Much of today was spent in class with seminars and tests. Tomorrow we have two big tests on Army regulations and have a review with all of our gear for inspection. For evening PT we did more push ups, crunches and sit ups...Sometimes I have to pinch myself that I have the blessing of someone forcing me to get in shape. (And they pay me to do it!) Keep it coming!!!

Here is a picture of Brian Sargent. (Can you imagine how fun it is to be named LT Sargent in the military?) Brian served as a youth and worship pastor for several years before he and his wife felt the call to join the army..."To expand his spiritual boundaries" While in the Army he served as a tanker and deployed to Iraq. While there he had the opportunity to minister to fellow soldiers and was inspired to one day be a chaplain himself. He and his wife Kristie have 2 boys ages 6 and 4. Be praying for Brian as he continues the journey. He is a tremendous man of God who has been amazingly patient with us "wet fish" as we learn the Army ropes. Thanks Brian!

Soldiers using the reflective window to try on their berets for the first time. (We can't wear them officially until we graduate from CHAPLAIN INITIAL MILITARY TRAINING (C.I.M.T.) on Friday.

Still need to work on my beret but I'm getting closer...
Blessings,
Dave
