Day 4...Time to Face the Scale...

Hi Friends and Family,

The day I've been waiting for for five months came today. I faced the dreaded scale. My goal was to pass the test without having to be taped for body fat percentage. (Remember how bad I failed the test last summer?) I was so happy today when I heard: "Good to go!" About 40-50 soldiers had to be taped and many failed the test altogether. (Chaplain candidates have until the end of training to be under weight so no one had to go home today.)

More training tomorrow as we put our uniforms on for the first time. The 3rd Platoon, which I belong to, will take the PT test at 4 a.m. on Friday morning.

I'm thankful for your prayers. I feel much better this evening...the pain in my neck is much better and the cold is going away.

My heart hurts to be away from Christina and the kids and I think about them every time I stop to talk to other troops about their families. Love you three...hang in there!

Blessings!

Congrats on passing the weight requirement. All the training paid off. I'm sure it will be obvious in Friday's test too. You are in our thoughts and prayers. D&D
