Hi Family and Friends,
Time to come home...Friday is a day of out processing and paperwork and then I get to go see my wife and kids! Hard to believe I made it. I'm thankful for all the love and support over the last six weeks. My heart has been enlarged for the ministry to our soldiers and I believe God has confirmed the call Christina and I answered last year to pursue the chaplaincy.
Here are a few pictures to enjoy:
Here are the guys as we take the bus trip to the "Cowpen" battle field. This was a key battle during the Revolutionary War won by American forces. The field was located just south of the North Carolina border.
Here I am standing in front of the monument at Cowpens. This was built in 1929.

The proud old flags blowing in the breeze...
Here is the gang at the prayer breakfast this morning...
Saying goodbye to my TA-50 gear...Not such a sad day! Believe it or not, I made it to the end without losing even one piece of equipment. (Although, I did lose my camera and broke my cell phone...)

When we got to the battle field our guide broke us up into Continental and British Forces. I was part of the Continental group and we got to be sharp shooters and fall back behind the British to reenact the battle. Here you can see the British forces advancing...
Here is a picture of a tree that was in existence during the battle. The park rangers have climbed up the tree to examine the trunk which has grown far into the sky. The upper parts of the tree are filled with heavy shot from the old guns...
