Dear Family and Friends,
What a great week! Most of you know how happy we are with our latest developments...Thanks for your kind words and prayers.
In addition to life changing news we also celebrate:
*God's providence to keep us in our current home for at least another year.
*A new internship for Dave at the VA Hospital in downtown Denver
*Allie's first walking steps across our living room...
*A great first week back in school at Denver Seminary. I'm really enjoying the new classes in counseling. It is easy for me to see how practical these classes will be for future ministry.
*A new church home for our family to plug in, worship and serve...
On Friday we took a trip down to Colorado Springs with my dad to visit our family. It was a great night as the kids danced around Jon's living room...what a beautiful sight. (See pictures below.)
On Saturday I took my dad and my good friend Barry to Laramie, Wyoming to watch the Cowboys play their season opener. My Cowboys were underdogs to the University of Virginia but we won 23-3 in a dominant blowout! What a wonderful day!!!!! 31,620 fans showed up in gold tee-shirts for the biggest opening day crowd in school history...(This sellout stadium became the 3rd largest city in Wyoming :) Virginia had bigger athletes...they had faster athletes...they had a bigger university...but you can't teach heart! I'm a proud fan...
Today Christina and I went with friends to The Taste of Colorado as we volunteered to serve in a VIP booth next to the main music stage. It was a lot of fun to walk around, try different foods and enjoy the warm summer day. (Cheesecake on a stick is great!)
Hope all is well...
