The Latest from The Nagel Home...

Hi Family and Friends,

I just came in from raking leaves and I looked out the window to see a wind burst cover the lawn again. Isn't that the way life goes? I love trees but I'm thinking about going out and cutting a few down. I'll buy a few fake trees and pave the rest of my yard with green cement. What do you think? :)

Christina continues to work hard at the adoption agency and we count down the months until she can come home full time and be with the kids while I go out and "bring home the bacon." (next May!) She has been battling more stomach trouble with our third baby so please keep her in your prayers in the months ahead.

Herbie and Allie are the light of our lives. They love to play together and don't like to take a nap if the other one is not going down as well. They are the best of friends. I love to come in late at night after class and watch them sleep, kiss them gently, and pray God will keep them safe.

I've never had a more stressful year of school in 9 years of college! Sometimes I wonder if I'm going to make it through the next year or so but I keep holding on to the hope that all of this work will pay off. I love working as a chaplain intern down at the Denver VA Hospital. It is sure a change from being a local church pastor. The people there are a great representation of our country. Many have no faith, most are hurting, many are cynical of chaplains, most are desperate for love. I've been assigned to the nursing unit, dialysis, and a new clinic for soldiers fresh from Iraq and Afghanistan. Most nights I leave the hospital thanking God that he called me to be a minister. Please be praying I represent Christ in an honorable way as I walk those halls.

I did my first military wedding last Saturday for a young private and his bride in Ft. Lupton. I think it went well.

Thanks for your prayers and support as we work to be able to pin on the cross. We treasure your friendships and encouragement...

GO ROCKIES!

Blessings,

Dave
