We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! The only thing that makes these long, dark nights bearable is the joy of the season. We had a good time with Christina's folks this Thanksgiving in Loveland. Lots of food, football and shopping. We worked on a mystery puzzle for several hours and hung Christmas lights in the bitter cold. Good times!
On Saturday morning we took our annual Christmas picture and it will be in the mail soon. Herbie is a typical 2 3/4 year old boy and didn't want to sit still for long. Hope you like them!
We got home on Saturday and went to bed as usual. The kids are usually great sleepers but that night Herbie wouldn't quit crying. Finally, I was convinced by Christina to take him to the emergency room to check out his ears for infections. Poor little guy! He has a severe ear infection in his left ear and we stayed up all night to get him better. He seems to be doing better each day. I'll never forget holding my boy in the emergency room while we waited for a doctor to see us. Precious moments...
On Sunday, my folks and younger sister came over for a "leftover" lunch. Good stuff!!!
I am wrapping up my last three weeks of school for the semester. Thank you Jesus! I have 185 out of 200 hours logged at the Denver VA. I have my big presentation on women due Thursday. (I spent 30 hours going to women's conferences, clinics, sorority houses, and personal interviews in order to give a presentation to my social and cultural foundations class on being a woman. What a project!:) I see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!!
Christina's belly continues to grow and we are excited to find out if we have a boy or girl coming to our family. The kids should be a lot of fun this Christmas. They love the tree and decorations around the house and it feels good to give the kids early happy memories...
All the best!
Dave, Christina, Herbie, Allie, ?
