We had an incredible Valentines week. We truly felt the love this week as a family. Dave came to my work on Valentines Day and we had a wonderful lunch together at Applebees. We were able to have some great one on one time together with a great meal. He brought me a gift that him and the kids had picked out, cute Valentine socks, a stuffed animal that held a nice gift card for me to go and pick out some fun items for myself at Kohls and a picture frame holding our family photo. While Dave and I were on our date and at class & work the rest of our day, our nanny took our kids out shopping to spoil their mommy & daddy. We came home to a home cooked meal, a table decorated with pictures of the kids, candles, gifts for each one of us, even gifts for Allie from Herbie and Herbie from Allie. We sat down as a family with our beautiful table and dinner and enjoyed the evening together. Thank you Amanda for such a wonderful suprise and all the gifts you gave to our family.
Yesterday afternoon, our family was very blessed to have a baby shower thrown for us at Christina's work. This is our third baby, but the company continues to treat our family as if this is our first child. The outpouring of great gifts and well wishes were a huge surprise and such a blessing to our family.
Last night, the kids went to the church for a Valentine's Sock Hop and partied the night away. We picked them up at 9:30 pm and they were still dancing and refusing to go home. They had a blast with all their friends (and I think were given quite a bit of candy!). When I left for work this morning at 7:15 am, Herbie was still passed out in bed! :) We enjoyed a great night with our Sunday School class at a friends house. The house was filled with lots of young couples who have young children at home. We were able to encourage one another, chat about the adventures of marriage and parenting, and just have some great fellowship without the children for the evening.
Thank you Grandpa, Grandma, Nana and Papa for the great Valentine gifts for the kids too! As you can see in this picture, Allie truly enjoyed her gifts this year!
We hope your week was filled with love too, remember to tell those you care about how much you love them! With lots of love, The Nagel family!
