We had to say our final good-byes to our green van. He officially died on Tuesday at the mailbox up the road. Dave coasted it down the hill to our street. So, we packed up all the kids, walked down the street in the snow, put them in the van, Dave got in back, I steered and pushed from the front and we pushed the van (uphill), to our house. Thankfully two neighbors saw what a weak link I was and they joined in to help my strong husband. We got it home, removed all our personal belongings and said good bye :) This van received it's death notice over a year 1/2 ago, but we prayed the Lord would keep it going till Dave graduated school and we were able to get a little more settled. Thank you Lord for the answered prayers. One mans junk is another mans treasure....I posted it on craigslist that night, listing exactly what was wrong and someone was at my house at 8:30 am to tow it away and provide us with some money for the broken van. I would like to say I am sad to see it go, it has some good memories (I think more bad than good),our first van we were able to bring one of our three babies home in it from the hospital. Bye, bye greeney....I won't miss all the leaks you left in our garage!

Farewell "Greeney"

Two things:
1. I am kind of sad. And it's not even my car.
2. I love that you take pics of your cars as you leave them and move on. Ryan and I have pics of all the cars on the last day they were ours. You see, that's why were friends. Same sentimental dopiness.
I would like to say it is sentimental, but more like I needed a picture for craigslist :)
I think you need a good visit with your Uncle Nate. He'd help you get things in perspective. I can't even remember all the cars he's owned. We are thankful that the Lord answered your prayers and kept "greenie" running for so long. Now we can move on and see what's next. . . . oh yeah, you already know!

Fine, I take back everything. I just said.
Dave was sentimental....it was just me who was happy to see it go :)
