Keeping the Faith When Life is Tough...

Hi Family and Friends,

You know how the Lord works on different areas of your heart as you walk by faith? Recently I've been deep in thought about how common it is for a person to lose hope in their faith in God. I consider myself a strong Christian and can't imagine walking away from Christ but when I read about others who are struggling with doubt or strike up a conversation with someone who is in the pit of despair I secretly wonder how I would react if my life fell apart.

Many of you know me well... Some of you might not. I've been raised as a Christian and have had a blessed life. I have loving parents, siblings, friends and a beautiful wife and kids. I often wonder why God has singled me out for so much joy! But what if I had to endure what the chaplain below faced. How strong would I be?

If you have the time read the article below. Bob Gier, a former parishoner at GMCC, dropped off the latest Newsweek last week and it featured an Army Chaplain on the cover.

I hope to hear back from some you regarding your thoughts on this topic of keeping your faith strong when life is tough...

Blessings,

Dave
