Hi Friends and Family,
Walked to church at 9 a.m. this morning. The service is called Chapel Next and is the contemporary Christian service on base. I played drums for the service and enjoyed being able to jump in and serve. I told Chris, the classmate on percussion, that I only want to pressure my kids on two things in life: God and Music! Of course I smiled when I said that but I'm so thankful for music...it's a great blessing to be able to go anywhere in the world and be able to sing or play an instrument. It's like an instant key into wonderful opportunities. I brought my guitar down here as well and have been enjoying working on worship songs late at night before bed. (Someday Lord, I hope to lead worship behind a guitar!)

CHRIS AND I ON DRUMS
We meet this evening for a late night march in our PT uniforms, helmets and rucksacks. Should be fun! Homework this afternoon....Blessings!

What a great day it must have been today with worship after a hard week. I've always been proud of you and the way you can fit right in with anybody or any situation...and the musical ability is just an added bonus. Yesterday's adventure up Victory Tower had to be a real high, yes, very high too. We did not repel in basic, in fact I don't remember any time that we got in a high position. They kept us down crawling in the mud. There is a Column in Astoria that is quite high and you can climb up and go around the edge on top, I was hugging the interior wall the whole time, I don't care if the rail is safe, I don't trust it. It must given your heart an extra pump or two when you stepped off!
Keep up the good work and God Bless, Dad Jim
