Hi Family and Friends,

We had a great weekend together here in Columbia. On Saturday morning Christina, Bowman and I drove to Charleston on the coast and spent time walking Folly Beach and eating fish tacos. We came back to Columbia and ate our traditional Fried Green Tomatoes and Sweet Tea at Fatz Cafe. We had a great evening relaxing with a movie and playing with Bowman.

This morning we had breakfast and then went to the Word of God church a few miles off post. This is the church I happened to attend by "accident" last year when coming to camp. We had a wonderful time of worship and THREE hours later left to eat lunch. The people were wonderful to our family and Bowman had his first taste of Gospel music the way it should be...

After lunch I took our family to the Officer's Club for lunch. Lots of good food...too much good food!!! This evening we went shopping at a local mall and then walked around downtown Columbia by the Capital Building.

Tonight Christina will cut my hair for the weeks ahead and help me get ready for tommorrow. It has been so good having her and Bowman here but we can't help but imagine Herbie and Allie running around on the beach or here on post. Our family is so incomplete without those kids :( Next year, I hope...
