The View Out My Window
Just Finished A 2 Mile Run In Preparation For Friday. The Goal: Under 15 Minutes!
Hi Family and Friends,
We spent today in the classroom studying how to determine whether a soldier can qualify as a conscientious objector, how to determine if a religious accommodation request if valid, and how to interact and support our local family readiness groups. This training so far has been really interesting and applicable to the role of serving as a chaplain with a local battalion. I've been serving for almost two years as a chaplain candidate and have been doing many of the duties of a chaplain so it is great to finally get formal training in many of these areas.
A new friend of mine, a National Guard chaplain candidate from Tennessee, is going to meet me down in the lobby in about a half an hour to get an extra run in before our weigh in tomorrow evening. I can't wait to get that over with! We've told ourselves that when we pass the weigh in and PT test on Friday morning that we'll treat ourselves to Bojangles Chicken, a well beloved food joint in South Carolina.
I'm really excited for Christina and Bowman to come and stay three nights with me this weekend. We will explore together! Sad Herbie and Allie can't come too, but know they will be loved back home.
Much love,
Dave

Man, I wish I was there to "help" you with you weigh-in and PT test. Why wait till Friday for some good old southern fired chicken? Go get some tonight! While your out, have a slice of ice cream cake on me!
Much love and tribulation!

Seung,
It is not quite the same here without your "candy store room" down the hall.
Miss you buddy!
