I cannot go to bed because.....

Dave and I laugh every night as we hear the door open and the little feet come out of the room....Dad, Mom, I can't go to bed because......

Herbie's excuses of why he cannot go to bed:
1. I need to go potty
2. I need water
3. I can't find my pillow
4. It's too dark.
5. I need to brush my teeth.
6. I need to eat an apple.
7. I need to cut my finger and toe nails.
8. Bowman is too loud.
9. I need to play cards with you.
10. The sun is waking up.
11. I need to watch cartoons.
12. I'm hungry.
13. I'm not tired.
14. I want to play cars.
15. It's not night time, it's morning time.
16. My foot is falling off.
17. I hit my leg and I need a bandaid.
18. I need a bandaid on my.....(he will go through all his body parts if needed).
19. I need to watch mommy and daddy's shows with them.
20. My head hurts and it needs a kiss.
21. I want to wrestle with daddy in the backyard.
22. I want a breakfast bar.
23. I'm too sick to go to bed.
24. I'm too tired to go to bed. (how do you explain this to a three year old, that is why he needs to go to bed!) :)
